2026 RMSGA Youth Investment Heifer

General information
The RMSGA Youth Investment Heifer is a program that the Rocky Mountain Stockgrowers Association
started for the future of agriculture. It was developed and designed to help young individuals get more
actively involved in production agriculture. Additionally, it should both stimulate interest and cultivate
knowledge in the ranching industry for these young individuals.
Heifers are donated by RMSGA members and youth can fill out an application for this heifer in which the
winner will be decided by the RMSGA Scholarship Committee.
Requirements

Individual must be 11-17 years of age

Must take the heifer project to the local Fair for two years

Must hang up a banner at the local fair (youth’s cost)

Must give a presentation on what they gained from the project at the annual RMSGA Banquet
-
Must donate 1/3 of the proceeds of the first calf sold, back to an AG organization in the State of Montana
